A day trip to La Push Beach with my father-in-law, brother-in-law, and nephew turned into one of those quietly cinematic experiences. I captured the drive through the mountains and the rugged coastline once we arrived — mist, waves, driftwood, and that wild Pacific energy. Everything was shot on a Sony body using vintage manual lenses, an 85mm Sonnar-style and a classic 50mm Zeiss design, both known for their soft focus falloff and distinctive character. The combination gave the images a warm, nostalgic texture that matched the mood perfectly. The light and scenery felt straight out of a TV show intro, something both familiar and timeless.
